Our Services
JumpStart Pediatrics is a Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care center in northeast Florida. It is a warm and friendly day treatment center for children with special care requirements.
Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants and Licensed Therapist care for your child for up to 12 hours a day Monday through Friday.
JumpStart Pediatrics is open from 7a.m. to 6p.m. Monday through Friday.
Skilled Nursing
Our Nursing Staff includes RNs (Registered Nurses), LPNs (Licensed Practical Nurses) and CNAs (Certified Nursing Assistants). Our Highly trained nursing staff undergo comprehensive minimum one month training program to enhance their pre-hire experience. Our nurses critical care, emergency room and high-tech home health experience are valuable assets and those are the nurses that JumpStart Pediatrics is looking for! Our CNAs come to us with previous childcare experience, ensuring that they absolutely love working with little ones. On admission, each child receives an individual care plan that is specifically tailored to address the medical plan that their physician has requested. Our Nursing staff will then collaborate with your child’s other healthcare provides to forma multidisciplinary team that develops a complete comprehensive plan.
Physical Therapy
Focuses on larger motor movements of the body, for movements like rolling, crawling and creeping, standing and walking and jumping. May help with obtaining some durable medical equipment or be a resource to parents on getting more complex items like standers and wheelchairs.
Occupational Therapy
Focuses on finer movement patterns and use of the hands and arms to complete activities of daily living such as self- feeding, dressing, pre- writing skills, washing or other tasks. May help with obtaining some medical equipment such as hand splints. Also focuses on the sensory system through touching and using eyes and hands together.
Speech Therapy
Focuses on early communication skills through gestures, babbling and speech, and understanding language. Addresses any early feeding problems and works on lingering difficulties with texture or aversions to food. Assists with obtaining augmentative communication equipment.
Educational and Developmental Services
JumpStart Pediatrics offers daily developmental, sensory and educational activities for your child. Our Educational Coordinator has fun and exciting activities planned for your child; some of these include music therapy, animal therapy, field trips, and group activities. We are able to collaborate with and accommodate Hospital/Homebound teachers, Preschool Disability teachers, Hearing and Vision teachers or other teachers in the center.
Family Support Services
JumpStart Pediatrics wants your family to succeed. We recognize that having a Medically Fragile Child can be full of joy but can also be full of challenges. Below are some of the services we think might be beneficial to parents.
